Parents Forum
The Parents Forum is open to Nursery and school parents. It exists to provide a regular opportunity for parents to meet and discuss the parental responsibilities associated with running our unique school.
The group is led by parents and meets every half term. It is a good opportunity to get to know each other and to put forward ideas you may have.
C.H.A.P.S (The Corps of Husbands at Peaslake School!)
In addition to the Parents Forum, the CHAPS group meets socially once a month. They plan and run specific events to support the school and help with the maintenance of the school and grounds.
Fundraising
School parents are expected to get involved with social fundraising events, which are all a vital part of the continued success of our unique school.
Involvement by nursery parents is encouraged and appreciated: taking part is also a great way of getting to know other parents.
Parent Duties
These duties only really begin once your child is in the main school however Nursery parents can ask to be added to the lunch rota when their child starts to stay for lunch.
School parents are added to the following rotas for helping at school:
Lunch Duty – approximately 2 sessions per half term
Swimming Duty – approximately 1 session per term
Gardening Duty – approximately 2 weekend sessions per year
Parent Volunteers
We welcome help from any parents who can offer their spare time to volunteer in the school. Tasks vary from regularly listening to school children read to sharing knowledge and/or special interests at relevant times of the year.
