Learning Together
At our Nursery, we believe that learning is most meaningful when children, families, and Nursery Practitioners work in partnership. This page outlines how we support your child’s learning journey, both at Nursery and at home.
"Staff encourage children to think critically and take risks, helping them to consider their own safety during their play. This supports children to develop their problem-solving skills."

Our Unique Curriculum and the EYFS
At the heart of our approach is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which sets the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to age five. The EYFS ensures that every child receives high-quality early education and care, tailored to their individual needs. More information...

Working Together to Support Your Child’s Time at Nursery
We value the strong relationships we build with families. From settling-in sessions to regular updates and parent meetings, we’re committed to working in partnership to ensure your child feels happy, secure, and ready to learn.
We observe, assess, and plan for your child’s individual needs and share their progress with you through regular conversations, learning journeys, and digital updates. Your insights are invaluable, and we welcome your input into their learning experiences.

Supporting Your Child’s Learning at Home
Learning doesn’t stop at the Nursery door! We’ll share simple, fun activities and suggestions to help you continue your child’s development at home—whether it’s through story time, nature walks, or baking together.

To support a love of reading, we offer a Lending Library stocked full of wonderful books for both children and parents. You're welcome to borrow and return books throughout the term—it's a great way to enjoy stories together at home and encourage early language development.

You’ll also receive guidance on supporting key skills like communication, independence, and problem-solving. We encourage you to talk, play, and explore with your child every day—it’s the small moments that make a big difference.
"Across the nursery, staff provide a number of opportunities for purposeful mark making, such as writing shopping lists. These opportunities help children to develop their understanding of words and text and become familiar with understanding literacy." May Ofsted 2023
