Funding Entitlement

Peaslake Nursery offers a range of funding options to support families with the cost of early years education. We aim to provide clear information to help you understand the support available.

FEET Funding (Free Early Education for Two-Year-Olds)

Some two-year-olds may be eligible for 15 hours of free early education per week, for 38 weeks a year. Eligibility is based on specific criteria including income or child development needs.

Universal 15 Hours Funding

All three- and four-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education each week during term time. This applies from the term after their third birthday.

Working Parents – Funding Entitlement

Eligible working parents may access up to 30 hours of funded childcare for 38 weeks a year. To qualify, you must meet the government's income and employment criteria. You will need a valid eligibility code to apply for this funding entitlement with us. For more information about applying or to check eligibility via the Best Start in Life website:

Pupil Premium

If your child qualifies for early years pupil premium (EYPP), we receive additional funding to support their development, learning and care. This funding is used to enhance our resources and tailor support.

Tax-Free Childcare & Voucher Schemes

We accept Tax-Free Childcare payments as well as most childcare voucher schemes offered by employers. These can help reduce the cost of any fees not covered by government funding, more details available on the Childcare Choices website.

Peaslake Nursery Hourly Rate & Half-Termly Invoices

For any hours not covered by funding entitlements, we charge a competitive hourly rate . Invoices are issued on a half-termly basis for your convenience.

3–4-Year-Olds Nursery Hourly Rate: £8.00.

2yr old's Nursery Hourly Rate: £8.50.

Voluntary Contribution

To help maintain the high quality of education and experiences offered, we invite families to make a voluntary contribution each term of £18. This supports enrichment activities and extra resources not covered by government funding.

Peaslake Nursery is a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity, we rely on these donations and fundraising events throughout the year.

School Meals

Hot school dinners are delivered daily from Tillingbourne School and are available to all Nursery children who do not bring a packed lunch.

 

These meals are charged on a daily basis at £3.00 per day and added to your half-termly invoice.

Extended Childcare Provision

Peaslake School offers extended childcare for children in their final Nursery year, subject to availability and level of interest:

  • Breakfast Club from 8:00am

  • Afterschool Club

 

These sessions offer extended care within Peaslake School outside of our nursery hours and provision. Please contact the school office to express interest and check availability.
